Foxfire products were created from years of experience of working as a contractor in the concrete masonry construction industry and out of the company’s need for products to protect new concrete and masonry and the need to restore and maintain existing concrete and masonry that had been damage by time and weather. Foxfire’s water-based penetrating sealers protect your concrete and masonry from the damage caused by water, acids, salts, oil, and a variety of organic stains. They also prevent or delay problems resulting from efflorescence, freeze/thaw, mold and mildew, concrete dusting, and spalling. Foxfire attacks the problem from an entirely different approach as we do not temporarily cover up the problems. The Foxfire solution starts by treating the concrete and masonry with Foxfire’s water-base penetrating sealers and water repellent to achieve a stable internal concrete or masonry mass. Foxfire’s integrated product solutions make a difference that can be seen.FOXFIRE SEALERS are specially formulated clear sealers that have a penetrating, ¼” to 4” depth depending upon the concrete composition, inorganic potassium-sodium modified material that "fuses" with the concrete and helps stop water, oil, gas, grease, salts and other fluids from damaging the concrete. Foxfire’s breathable sealers and water repellent protect from the outside, while allowing the inside vapor to escape. Foxfire sealers allow entrapped water vapors to escape because the vapor molecule is significantly smaller. This vapor transmission is necessary if the substrate is to survive many freeze/thaw cycles. Concrete and masonry is best protected by a sealer that is breathable meaning that any water that does enter the concrete or masonry is able to evaporate through the surface as much as possible. The penetrating sealers and water repellent provides long-lasting durability and does not alter the appearance of the concrete or masonry. The unique formula of Foxfire sealers penetrate deeply into the substrate and chemically react with alkaline materials in the concrete and masonry to fill the capillary pores, hairline cracks, and voids thus slowing down or preventing water and air migration through the masonry or concrete. The micro-solution, now 1/4 to 4 inches deep (depending on concrete composition) within the concrete, becomes an integral part of the concrete when it hardens causing the concrete or masonry to densify and thereby decreasing the moisture permeability and porosity. By this fusion, the substrate actually becomes better concrete. Foxfire sealers can also be used as a cure-and-seal for newly poured concrete.Foxfire’s P-1007 and S-1007 sealers and 5000WB water repellent form dense hydrophobic compounds within the pore structure to repel water, acids, salts, chlorides, oil, and a variety of organic stains. The final result also protects the concrete from most future stains resulting in an easier to maintain surface. The concrete is now sealed permanently from the inside, not just temporarily on the surface allowing weakening to re-occur due to ultra violet sun rays (UV) or heavy wear and tear.Foxfire’s water-base sealants (P-1007, S-1007 and 5000WB) can be used on all types of untreated concrete used as flooring, walls, blocks, pipes, or for any other concrete structure. Top-coating sealers (or surface sealers) just protect the surface of concrete allowing water to seep in underneath the surface, compromising the integrity of the concrete from within. Foxfire sealers penetrate deep into the concrete (1/4 to 4 inches based on concrete composition) so as to seal most of the concrete slab or masonry structure and create a stronger concrete and masonry. |
